Just Dance! (Medieval Version)
Hello! This blog
post is going to be about this video I came across from the professor’s
recommendations by Silly Linguistics. It is a four-minute video of the popular
song Just Dance by Lady Gaga but in Old English. I thought I knew what Old English
sounded like, but after listening to the video, I realized I, in fact, had no
clue what Old English sounded like. It almost sounds like German or Bjork when
she speaks. The video was definitely catchy, and if they played this at some Medieval
party, it would probably be wild on the dance floor. The video also has
translations with the Medieval spelling so you can understand what you're
singing if you try to sing along. Below is the video so you can try to sing along!
